4 Important Turning Points In "The Penthouse 3"

In particular, episode 7 had many crucial developments in the story, such as the reveal of the reason behind Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) saving Logan Lee’s (Park Eun Suk) life, Bae Ro Na (Kim Hyun Soo) boldly appearing in front of Cheon Seo Jin and Ha Eun Byul (Choi Ye Bin), Joo Seok Hoon (Kim Young Dae) finding out that Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) is connected to Oh Yoon Hee’s (Eugene) death, and Shim Soo Ryun (Lee Ji Ah) solidifying her newfound dark side with a drive for revenge against Joo Dan Tae.

The following are four lines from the episode that marked pivotal turning points in “The Penthouse 3”:

Cheon Seo Jin, “Logan’s worth as a dead body is incomparable to when he’s alive!”

In a previous episode, it was revealed that Cheon Seo Jin helped Logan Lee escape a terrible explosion and that she had been working with Baek Joon Gi (On Joo Wan) in secret. In episode 7, she hinted at her plan of getting money out of the ordeal from Logan’s family by exclaiming, “Logan’s worth as a dead body is incomparable to when he’s alive!” From neglecting her father Cheon Myung Soo (Jung Sung Mo) during his death and murdering Oh Yoon Hee to now using Logan Lee, Cheon Seo Jin continues to put her aspirations first.

Bae Ro Na, “I’m no longer a kid. So don’t be too sure of yourself. Because the truth always prevails.”

Bae Ro Na visited Ha Eun Byul at the hospital to find out the truth behind her mother’s death. When Ha Eun Byul met her with hostility, Bae Ro Na fought back by saying, “I will clear my mom’s name and make sure to drag you down from Seoul National University.” Six months after her bold warning, Bae Ro Na appeared at a press conference Cheon Seo Jin prepared for Ha Eun Byul’s audition. She went on to show off her singing skills, catching the attention and praise of famous conductor Clark Lee (Shin Sung Woo). On top of this, she gained an opportunity to audition. To Cheon Seo Jin, she said, “I’m no longer a kid. So don’t be too sure of yourself. Because the truth always prevails.”

Joo Seok Hoon, “Dad, if you’re the devil then I’m the devil’s son, and if you’re a snake then I’m the son of a snake.”

When faced with the truth that Joo Dan Tae was involved with Oh Yoon Hee’s death, Joo Seok Hoon was overwhelmed with anger and sorrow. He said, “Dad, if you’re the devil then I’m the devil’s son, and if you’re a snake then I’m the son of a snake.” He continued, “Just promise me one thing. Don’t hurt mom. Then I’ll live the life you want me to live.” What’s coming up for Joo Seok Hoon is unclear, given that he broke up with Bae Ro Na and showed up in the preview for episode 8 as a new employee at Joo Dan Tae’s company, saying, “If you’ve inherited the blood of the devil, then you’ve got to become the devil.”

Shim Soo Ryeon, “You’re not even worthy of life. I’ll make sure that you can’t do anything anymore.”

Shim Soo Ryeon executed a thrilling revenge against Joo Dan Tae by ruining his ambitious business plans. She not only exposed his lobbying deeds, but also turned out to be the lobbyist that gained the right to construct the project. Adding on to pressure, she stated, “I’ll give you one last chance to make things right before you go to hell. Admit to killing Yoon Hee. Admit to killing Logan! You’re not even worthy of life. I’ll make sure that you can’t do anything anymore.” Furthermore, Shim Soo Ryeon found out that Joo Seok Kyung (Han Ji Hyun) is her biological daughter after listening to an audio recording on Oh Yoon Hee’s repaired watch.
