Watch: Kwon Hwa Woon, Girl's Day's Minah, And More Have Playful Chemistry During Poster Shoot For "Check Out The Event"

MBC’s “Check Out the Event” released a new behind-the-scenes look of the drama’s poster filming!

The upcoming romance drama about two ex-lovers who win a couples trip in a lottery that they entered before breaking up. In order to go on the trip, they pretend to still be together as they travel to Jeju Island with two other couples.

Girl’s Day’s Minah will star in the drama as Ha Song Yi, a coordinator at a botanical garden who goes through a rough patch after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, while Kwon Hwa Woon will star as her ex Park Do Kyum, the secretly soft-hearted leader and vocalist of an indie band. An Woo Yeon will play their tour guide Seo Ji Kang, who winds up developing feelings for Ha Song Yi over the course of the trip.

The making-of video begins with Kwon Hwa Woon introducing Minah. He shares, “This is lovely Song Yi.” He adds, “She’s a tangerine girl.” Minah plays along and asks, “Please buy some tangerines. It costs 150,000 won (approximately $131) for one.” Kwon Hwa Woon responds, “That’s too expensive. The prices in Jeju Island are really high.” Minah explains, “No, it’s because I’m selling it.”

With bright smiles on their faces, the two actors pose in front of the beautiful sea. Similarly, UP10TION’s Lee Jin Hyuk and Nam Kyu Hee, who play YouTuber couple Song Jong Ho and Noh Hyo Jung, get silly, creative, and sweet with their couple poses. Kim Young Sun and Kim Hee Chang, who play the oldest couple on the trip, create a calm and sentimental atmosphere during their poster filming.

During the group poster filming, Minah gets down low to capture the perfect photo of Kim Young Sun. She shouts, “You look so pretty! It looks so natural.” Commenting that orange and purple look good together, Kim Young Sun suggests the two take pictures together.

Kwon Hwa Woon explains that the cast has finished filming on Jeju Island and that they would be going to Seoul for the rest of the filming. He shares, “It was a really enjoyable, refreshing, and happy time.” Minah is about to share her feelings, but she bursts out laughing after seeing the lighting director move in a light reflector for them. Kwon Hwa Woon comments, “The director works so passionately.”

Regarding her time in Jeju Island, Minah shares, “It was bittersweet, but it was also fun to genuinely look around while filming.” Kwon Hwa Woon adds, “It’s an honor to film with Minah sunbaenim.” He playfully thanks her for taking good care of him and buying him food, and Minah also thanks him in response.
