TXT Extends Own Record On Billboard 200 + Becomes 1st K-Pop Artist To Chart For 9 Weeks With 2021 Album
Even as they gear up for a new comeback, TXT is still going strong on the Billboard charts with their latest album!
TXT’s second studio album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE,” which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 over two months ago, has now become the first K-pop album of 2021 to spend nine weeks on the chart. (Billboard’s famous Top 200 Albums chart, commonly referred to as “the Billboard 200,” is its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States).
For the week ending on August 14, “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” came in at No. 126, extending its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of the year in its ninth consecutive week on the Billboard 200.
The only other K-pop groups in history to have an album spend nine weeks (consecutive or non-consecutive) on the Billboard 200 are BTS, SuperM, NCT 127, BLACKPINK, and NCT.
“The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” also held onto its spot at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, in addition to ranking No. 10 on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart. “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” reentered Billboard’s Tastemaker Albums chart at No. 18 as well.
Finally, TXT stayed strong on Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 69.
Congratulations to TXT!
