Ryu Jun Yeol Is An Indifferent Man Who Is Willing To Do Anything For Money In Upcoming Drama 'Lost'

JTBC’s upcoming drama “Lost” has revealed new stills of Ryu Jun Yeol in character!

“Lost” tells the stories of average people who realize they haven’t become anything throughout their lives and try their best to see the spotlight. Jeon Do Yeon stars as Boo Jung, a ghostwriter in her 40s who feels lost and as if she hasn’t been able to amount to anything. Ryu Jun Yeol stars as Kang Jae, a man who runs a service where employees act out whatever roles clients request.

The newly released stills show Ryu Jun Yeol’s transformation into Kang Jae, whose one and only goal is to become rich. He does whatever he can to earn money, but he is afraid that he won’t be able to amount to anything. He is a man who pretends to be an adult but is actually an innocent boy. Furthermore, he seems cynical, but he wants to be someone that is needed.

The photos share a glimpse of Kang Jae’s exhausting and boring daily life. His clients send him a message of what they want and the payment to carry out their request, and he transforms into whatever they want: a friend, family, or lover. He perfectly carries out his missions, but his life is nothing but dull. In the stills, he walks into dark alleys with the same indifferent expression, and it will be intriguing to find out how he will change after meeting Boo Jung.

Ryu Jun Yeol shared why he chose to star in “Lost,” saying, “I felt lingering feelings after reading the script for the first time. Kang Jae’s charms also greatly touched my heart. This drama is a grateful project where I am able to work with Jeon Do Yeon and director Heo Jin Ho.”

Then he added, “Just like any youth, Kang Jae is a person who endures each and every day with vague anxiety. I sympathized with the changes of Kang Jae, who pursues the logic of money that is in the world and thinks money is love, that occur due to the development of the drama.”

Lastly, Ryu Jun Yeol shared, “I wanted to learn about Kang Jae’s life and loneliness with him. I wanted to express the youth I experienced, and I also wanted to express the philosophy of life that I had in my life and various thoughts that come from relationships and encounters. It seems like I’m still walking on the same path as him.”

“Lost” will premiere on September 4 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out the teaser here!
