TXT's Yeonjun Shares Past Concerns About His Image, Pride In His Group's Unique Style, And More
TXT’s Yeonjun opened up in a recent interview with Elle magazine!
After posing for the magazine’s September issue in a number of sleek black fits, Yeonjun sat down for a post-shoot interview to talk about his interest in fashion, his pride in TXT’s music, and more.
“I think both music and fashion are truly great media through which I can express myself,” remarked Yeonjun. “Because they allow me to express myself in my own style, without restrictions.”
When asked about the stark contrast between his powerful stage presence during his performances and his cute, mischievous personality once he steps off stage, Yeonjun confessed that he has tried to act “cooler” in real life to match his onstage persona—but that he was ultimately unable to hide his true self.
“There have been times when I wondered if it would be better for me to show a more composed and cooler image in my everyday life as well,” he admitted. “But my real personality kept showing through.”
Fortunately, however, Yeonjun has since embraced the idea of just being himself. “I think it’s always best to be natural,” he shared. “Since I’m always with the other TXT members, my playful side comes out more.”
Yeonjun also spoke about TXT’s artistry and his pride in their wide array of concepts.
“Just like it’s important for each and every person to have their own individuality, I think it’s also really important for a group to have their own unique color,” said Yeonjun. “I like that we have our own clear style and direction.”
He added, “I also came to learn that I have multiple colors of my own.”
TXT recently made their highly-anticipated comeback with their repackaged album “The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE.” Check out the music video for their new title track “LO$ER=LO♡ER” here!
