BTS's "Permission To Dance" Continues To Lead; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2021, August Week 3
BTS’ “Permission to Dance” continues to dominate, staying on top for the fifth straight week. Although a slight drop in points, the song still remains far ahead of the competition. Congratulations again to BTS!
Moving back up one spot to No. 2 is TWICE’s “Alcohol-Free.” Rounding out the top three and moving up four spots to No. 3 is aespa’s “Next Level.”
There are two songs that newly entered the top 10 this week.
Debuting at No. 7 is THE BOYZ’s “THRILL RIDE.” The title track from their sixth mini album “THRILL-ING,” this is THE BOYZ’s first-ever top 10 hit on our chart. “THRILL RIDE” is a unique hip hop summer song that changes up the rhythm constantly and delivers a fresh energy. The lyrics compare the emotion of thrill to a thrilling amusement ride.
Moving up 15 spots to No. 8 is Somi’s “DUMB DUMB.” It is a refreshing pop dance song with cute lyrics about a girl who wants to impress the guy she likes.
