Watch: Shin Min Ah Receives A Surprising Welcome From The Seaside Village In "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" Teaser
tvN’s upcoming drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” has released a teaser for its first episode!
A remake of the film “Mr. Hong,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is a romance drama starring Shin Min Ah as Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist who moves from Seoul to the seaside village of Gongjin, and Kim Seon Ho as Hong Doo Shik, an odd-jobs expert who helps everyone around town.
The first episode teaser begins with Hong Doo Shik and Yoon Hye Jin’s first meeting at the beach. Dressed in a surfing wetsuit, Hong Doo Shik rescues Yoon Hye Jin’s shoe, and she thanks him and asks if he can help her find the other one. Eventually, he ends up tossing her his own slippers.
Yoon Hye Jin has to convince the residents of the seaside village of Gongjin that she’s not someone who borrows four dollars and doesn’t pay it back. At the seaside market, she asks Hong Doo Shik in befuddlement, “You want me to disembowel some squid?” and he retorts, “You said you needed money. You’re not going to earn it?” One villager comments to Yoon Hye Jin, “Gongjin is a great place, but the one disadvantage is that it has no dentist.” Inspired by this, Yoon Hye Jin looks up the cost of rent and comments, “It’s definitely cheaper than Seoul.”
Working one of his many odd jobs at a café, Hong Doo Shik tells another villager that Yoon Hye Jin has left four dollars in repayment on the table. “It seems like she wasn’t a scammer then,” the villager observes, and Hong Doo Shik says firmly, “No, she wasn’t.” As she prepares to leave the village, two schoolchildren approach Yoon Hye Jin and ask her to come again. Hesitantly, she says, “Okay.”
