Red Velvet Nearly Triples 1st-Week Sales Record With "Queendom," Achieving 2nd Biggest Week Of Any Girl Group This Year
Red Velvet is soaring to new heights with their latest album!
Last week, Red Velvet made their long-awaited return with their sixth mini album “Queendom” and its accompanying title track of the same name.
On August 24, Hanteo Chart officially announced that the album had sold an impressive total of 207,399 copies in the first week of its release (August 17 to 23)—nearly triple Red Velvet’s previous full-group first-week sales record of 71,431 set by their 2019 mini album “The ReVe Festival: Day 1.”
According to Hanteo Chart, “Queendom” also achieved the second-highest first-week sales of any album released by a girl group in 2021, bested only by TWICE‘s “Taste of Love.”
Congratulations to Red Velvet!
