Kim Seon Ho And Shin Min Ah's New Drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" Premieres To No. 1 Ratings
tvN’s new drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is off to a promising start!
A remake of the film “Mr. Hong,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is a new romance drama starring Shin Min Ah as Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist who moves from Seoul to the seaside village of Gongjin, and Kim Seon Ho as Hong Doo Shik, an odd-job expert who helps everyone around town.
On August 28, the highly-anticipated drama premiered to strong viewership ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” scored an average nationwide rating of 6.8 percent, taking first place in its time slot across all cable channels.
“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” also took first place in its time slot across all channels—including public broadcast networks—among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it earned a nationwide average of 3.6 percent and a peak of 4.0 percent.
Meanwhile, MBC’s new romance drama “Check Out the Event” rose slightly to an average nationwide rating of 1.0 percent for its third episode.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Revolutionary Sisters” remained the most-watched program of any kind to air on Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 28.9 percent.
