Shin Min Ah And Kim Seon Ho Spark Their Playful Chemistry In "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha"

tvN’s “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” has released new stills ahead of tonight’s episode!

A remake of the film “Mr. Hong,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is a romance drama starring Shin Min Ah as Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist who moves from Seoul to the seaside village of Gongin, and Kim Seon Ho as Hong Doo Shik, an odd-job expert who helps everyone around town.

The first episode followed Yoon Hye Jin as she snuffed her nose at the hospital she had been working at and set out for the seaside village of Gongjin to reconnect with her childhood. During her stay, Yoon Hye Jin had her first run-in with Hong Doo Shik as well as suffered all sorts of misfortunes such as losing her expensive high heels in the ocean and dealing with her car’s dead battery.

However, no matter Yoon Hye Jin’s troubles, Hong Doo Shik always appeared like magic to help her out by handing her slippers, finding her a minimum wage job, and performing other acts of service. After her decision to open up a dentist’s office in Gongjin, she paired up with Hong Doo Shik, paving the way for the beginning of their time as neighbors in the village.

The newly released stills give viewers a hint at the back-and-forth chemistry that will play out in their relationship. The run-ins between the two characters have been bringing plenty of laughter to viewers, such as when Yoon Hye Jin asked Hong Doo Shik if he had a license for the work he was doing and he bluntly responded, “You have sleep in your eyes. Did you wash your face?”

Yoon Hye Jin appears triumphant in the new stills, striking a self-assured pose with a twinkle evident in her eyes. Meanwhile, Hong Doo Shik leans against the door frame, looking more relaxed than ever around her.

Another pair of stills shows Yoon Hye Jin covering her ears as if she doesn’t want to hear whatever is being said, revealing the more overconfident and brash side of her personality. Hong Doo Shik is unfazed by her attitude, focusing on the task at hand and persevering through her antics.

The drama’s producers commented, “In the second episode, viewers will be able to witness more developments in Yoon Hye Jin and Hong Doo Shik’s relationship. Viewers will have a more enjoyable time watching if they try to guess what kind of role Hong Doo Shik will play as Yoon Hye Jin adjusts to the village as well as what kind of emotions will rise to the surface.”

The next episode of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” airs on August 29 at 9 p.m. KST.
