BTS's "Permission To Dance" Guards Top Spot; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2021, September Week 1
BTS’s “Permission to Dance” held on to the top spot for the seventh straight week. Despite strong competition, the song managed to maintain its lead by a small margin. Congratulations to BTS!
“Queendom” remains at No. 2 this week. Moving up three spots to No. 3 is Somi’s “DUMB DUMB,” making it her first top three hit.
Only one new song entered the top 10 this week. Debuting at No. 10 is Stray Kids’ “Thunderous,” the group’s first top 10 hit on Soompi’s Music Chart. “Thunderous” is the title song from Stray Kids’ second studio album “NOEASY.” The group’s producing unit 3RACHA, made up of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, wrote the lyrics and co-composed the song, which is a dance track with traditional Korean instruments. The lyrics convey the message that they will put their sound out there no matter what others say.
