Watch: Hani, Yoon Shi Yoon, And Park Ki Woong Share Hopes For Their New Drama "You Raise Me Up"
Yoon Shi Yoon, EXID’s Hani, and Park Ki Woong have shared their thoughts on their first filming for “You Raise Me Up”!
“You Raise Me Up” is a wavve original comedy drama about Do Yong Shik (Yoon Shi Yoon), a man who develops erectile dysfunction in his 30s. When he goes to a urologist for treatment, his doctor happens to be Lee Ru Da (Hani), his first love.
The new behind-the-scenes video gives viewers a glimpse of the drama’s first filming and features interviews with the main cast. Yoon Shi Yoon introduces his character and adds, “I think he’ll become a main character that is very pitiable but lovable.”
He continues, “I feel this every time, but the first filming is always the most nerve-racking. Something I’m trying to keep in mind is to not go overboard. Of course we are filming very important scenes today too, but I want to trust the staff and participate with the mindset of warming up.”
Park Ki Woong introduces his character Do Ji Hyuk, a psychiatrist with his own practice who was born with a golden spoon in his mouth. He comments, “I think it’s always necessary to work together during the first filming. Even if the actors get into character and share their thoughts before filming about the drama and the script, there is still a process of working with the staff on set. However, I have a good feeling about this.”
After filming a scene with Yoon Shi Yoon, Hani introduces herself and shares, “Since my fellow actors, our director, and the staff members on set are all such good people and the atmosphere is good, I’m having fun filming.”
Later, Yoon Shi Yoon comments, “This time, our production team and our actors are all around the same age. It feels like working on an assignment in university and enjoyably filming. Since the plot itself is a story of people our age, I’m looking forward to that happy energy coming out in the drama too.”
Hani shared her own hopes, explaining, “I hope people feel comforted through this drama and I hope this becomes a project that gives strength. At the same time, I think it’ll be very fun so I’m looking forward to it.”
