FNC Entertainment confirmed that N.Flying’s Lee Seung Hyub would be joining Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae’s upcoming tvN drama “Shooting Star.” His labelmate and senior, CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin, has also been cast as a lead.
Lee Seung Hyub has been cast in the role of Kang Si Deok, a rookie actor in Oh Han Byul (Lee Sung Kyung)’s management agency.
Meanwhile, Yoon Jong Hoon, Girl’s Day’s Sojin, Ha Do Kwon, and Jang Hui Ryoung are in talks to appear in the drama.

tvN’s upcoming drama “Shooting Star” (literal translation) is slowly finalizing its cast!
“Shooting Star” is a new drama about people who work behind the scenes of the entertainment industry. The romantic comedy will star Lee Sung Kyung as Oh Han Byul, the head of the PR team at an entertainment agency, and Kim Young Dae as flawless top star Gong Tae Sung, who is also her natural enemy. The drama captures realistic behind-the-scenes stories of the people who sacrifice blood, sweat, and tears to make celebrities shine.
On September 15, it was reported that CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin would be starring in the drama as a lawyer in the entertainment industry. His agency FNC Entertainment confirmed the reports, stating, “Lee Jung Shin will appear in tvN’s new drama ‘Shooting Star’ as a lead.”
Also in discussion to join the cast are Girl’s Day’s Sojin, Yoon Jong Hoon, Ha Do Kwon, and Jang Hui Ryoung. Sojin’s agency Noon Company commented, “Park Sojin is in talks to appear in ‘Shooting Star,’ and the outlook is favorable.”
A representative of Yoon Jong Hoon shared, “We received a casting offer and are positively discussing it.” If confirmed, “Shooting Star” would be Yoon Jong Hoon’s first project since the conclusion of his hit drama “The Penthouse,” which he also starred in with Kim Young Dae.
Ha Do Kwon’s agency 935 Entertainment stated, “Ha Do Kwon has received a casting offer for the drama ‘Shooting Star’ and is currently reviewing it.” Ha Do Kwon also appeared in “The Penthouse” as Ma Doo Gi, a professor at Chung Ah Arts High School.
On behalf of Jang Hui Ryoung, her agency Studio Santa Claus Entertainment commented, “Jang Hui Ryoung is currently in talks to appear in ‘Shooting Star’ with a favorable outlook.”
“Shooting Star” will begin filming at the end of the month.
