SHINee's Minho Steals Kim Go Eun's—And Everyone Else's—Heart In "Yumi's Cells"
tvN’s upcoming drama “Yumi’s Cells” has shared a new glimpse of SHINee’s Minho in his swoon-worthy role!
Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” will tell the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action.
Kim Go Eun will be playing the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings, while Ahn Bo Hyun will star as the straightforwardly honest game developer Goo Woong. Minho will be playing the role of Chae Woo Gi, a junior colleague of Yumi’s who is handsome, talented, and caring to boot.
The newly released stills capture Minho’s transformation into the most popular guy at Yumi’s office—the one everyone seems to have a crush on, with Yumi being no exception.
In one photo, Chae Woo Gi gives Yumi butterflies by stopping by her cubicle to cheer her on, while in another, he sets her heart aflutter by gazing at her with his signature good-guy charm. Other photos show him wearing a sunny smile and his usual friendly expression as he chats with other colleagues.
As for what viewers can look forward to in tonight’s premiere, Minho commented, “I think you’ll be able to enjoy the drama even more if you focus on the synergy between the cast’s realistic acting and the cells’ activity.”
“Yumi’s Cells” premieres on September 17 at 10:50 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki.
