Oh Yeon Seo In Talks Along With Seo In Guk For New Drama

Oh Yeon Seo may be joining Seo In Guk in the upcoming drama “Minamdang: Case Note” (literal title)!

On September 28, industry representatives reported that Oh Yeon Seo has chosen “Minamdang: Case Note” as her next project.

In response, a source from her agency SidusHQ commented, “Oh Yeon Seo has received an offer to star in ‘Minamdang: Case Note,’ and she is reviewing the offer.”

“Minamdang: Case Note” is based on a popular web novel of the same name by writer Jung Jae Han that was serialized on Kakao Page and won the grand prize at Kakao Page’s web novel contest. The story is about the events that unfold as former profiler Han Joon becomes a baksumudang (male shaman).

The drama will deal with the process of solving cases of clients who visit the suspicious café named Minamdang. New characters will be introduced, and the plot will be unraveled in a humorous way that sets it apart from the original web novel. Previously, it was reported that Seo In Guk is in talks to star in the drama as the male lead.

Oh Yeon Seo has been offered the role of the violent crimes division’s team leader Han Jae Hee. She’s righteous, lighthearted, doesn’t hold grudges, and quirky, but she’s also sincere. After transferring to the violent crimes division, she has worked as a detective for three years. Although she doesn’t have many years of experience, she’s the team leader because she graduated from a police university.

The script will be written by screenwriter Park Hye Jin of the drama “Ruler: Master of the Mask” and the films “The Yellow Sea” and “Kundo: Age of the Rampant.” “Minamdang: Case Note” is slated to premiere in the first half of next year.
