Park Hyung Sik And Han Hyo Joo Dish On Their Chemistry In Upcoming Drama "Happiness"

tvN’s upcoming drama “Happiness” (literal title) has shared a new sneak peek of Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo in their starring roles!

“Happiness” is an apocalyptic thriller that takes place in the near future, set in a high-rise apartment building stratified by social standing. The building is sealed off when a new infectious disease emerges in the city, and the drama will depict the residents’ fear, fierce psychological battles, and desperate struggle for survival within the closed-off building.

Han Hyo Joo will star in the drama as Yoon Sae Bom, a tactical agent in the Seoul Police Special Operations Unit, while Park Hyung Sik will star as Jung Yi Hyun, a detective who is her former high school classmate and has feelings for her.

Praising her co-star, Han Hyo Joo remarked, “Park Hyung Sik is kind, and he’s an actor who makes everyone around him feel comfortable. At times, I felt like he was a longtime friend, and I leaned on him a lot during filming. Sae Bom and Yi Hyun’s relationship in the drama is also a long, extended journey, so you can safely look forward to it.”

Meanwhile, Park Hyung Sik commented, “[Han Hyo Joo] is extremely attentive and warm. I felt that she’s someone with a lot of affection for others.”

He went on to express confidence in their chemistry, teasing, “I think that Sae Bom and Yi Hyun have something tough and long-lasting that others don’t have, and I think you can safely look forward to great chemistry.”

Newly released stills from the upcoming drama also feature a glimpse of Yoon Sae Bom and Jung Yi Hyun’s eventful high school days. In one set of photos, Yoon Sae Bom stands dangerously close to the edge of a rooftop as Jung Yi Hyun watches her calmly with a nonchalant expression. Another intriguing photo captures the two classmates standing together with Yoon Sae Bum in handcuffs.

Meanwhile, other photos capture the two police officers all grown up: Yoon Sae Bom is now the daring ace of the Seoul Police Special Operations Unit, while promising young baseball star Jung Yi Hyun has left the sport behind to become a detective instead of an athlete.
