BLACKPINK's Lisa Becomes 1st Female K-Pop Soloist To Spend 4 Weeks On UK's Official Singles Chart

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has just made K-pop history in the United Kingdom!

Nearly two months after its initial release, Lisa’s solo B-side “MONEY” is still climbing up the United Kingdom’s Official Charts (which are typically regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts). After entering the Official Singles Chart at No. 81 earlier this month, “MONEY” has steadily risen on the chart for four weeks in a row, ascending to a higher ranking with each passing week.

For the week of October 29 to November 4, “MONEY” rose to No. 46 on the Official Singles Chart (up eight spots from last week’s No. 54).

With this achievement, Lisa has now become the first female K-pop solo artist ever to chart a song for four weeks on the Official Singles Chart. The only K-pop soloist in history to chart a song for longer is PSY, who last achieved the feat with his 2013 hit “Gentleman” (which spent 19 weeks on the chart) eight years ago.

Congratulations to Lisa on her impressive new record!
