Wanna One In Talks To Reunite For New Music, Performances, And More

We may be getting a Wanna One reunion soon!

On November 3, JTBC News reported that several industry sources had revealed that Wanna One is planning to reunite ahead of the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards. One source said, “Talks of a reunion always take place ahead of the award ceremony, but this year’s discussions are more positive and enthusiastic.” A different source predicted, “Since I.O.I reunited last May, Wanna One’s reunion may be possible now.”

In response to the report, CJ ENM revealed, “We are having positive discussions about various plans including the Mnet Asian Music Awards, a concert, and an album involving all of the Wanna One members.”

Wanna One was a project group consisting of the top 11 contestants from Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2.” After the group disbanded in December 2018, the members went back to their former groups (NU’EST’s Minhyun), debuted in new groups (AB6IX‘s Lee Dae Hwi and Park Woo Jin, CIX’s Bae Jin Young), or went solo (Ha Sung Woon, Yoon Ji Sung, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Jae Hwan, Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Lai Kuanlin). If the reunion happens, it will be Wanna One’s first time coming together as a group in almost three years since their final concert in January 2019.
