Kim Soo Hyun Crosses Paths With Top Prisoner Kim Sung Kyu In Upcoming Drama "One Ordinary Day"
The Coupang Play original series “One Ordinary Day” has shared a peek of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sung Kyu’s first meeting!
A remake of BBC’s “Criminal Justice,” “One Ordinary Day” will star Kim Soo Hyun as Kim Hyun Soo, an ordinary college student whose life is turned upside down when he suddenly becomes the prime suspect in a murder case. Cha Seung Won will star as Shin Joong Han, a third-rate lawyer who barely passed the bar exam and is the only person who reaches out to help Kim Hyun Soo – while never asking him about the truth of what happened that fateful night.
Newly released stills show the apprehensive first encounter between Kim Hyun Soo and Do Ji Tae (Kim Sung Kyu), who sits at the top of the food chain within the prison. It’s the first time Kim Hyun Soo is in prison, and he makes eye contact with Do Ji Tae, who stares at him with fearsome eyes. Tension escalates in the air, and Kim Hyun Soo stiffens as Do Ji Tae comes near him.
Questions are mounting over Kim Hyun Soo’s life in prison. Will this unpredictable meeting with the king of prison be the start of his downfall or will it end up as a window of opportunity?
The producers commented, “Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sung Kyu are actors with extraordinary aura that overwhelms the viewers. Please check out the way they’ll portray their characters’ inner sides and deep stories.”
