Super Junior's Shindong Halts Activities After Being Diagnosed With COVID-19

Super Junior’s Shindong has gone into self-quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19.

On November 12, Super Junior’s agency Label SJ officially confirmed, “On November 11, Shindong’s COVID-19 test results came back positive, and he is currently in self-quarantine.”

According to the agency, after learning that he had come into close contact with someone who was later diagnosed with COVID-19, Shindong underwent PCR testing on November 10. The next day, he learned that he had also tested positive for the virus.

However, because Shindong has not recently come into contact with any of his bandmates, the other Super Junior members will not be undergoing testing.

“[Shindong] hasn’t crossed paths with any Super Junior members,” stated the agency. “The other members have no plans to get tested.”

Although Shindong will temporarily be halting his activities, he has not recently crossed paths with the other cast members from his variety shows such as JTBC’s “Knowing Bros,” so it is reportedly unlikely that his diagnosis will affect his castmates.

We wish Shindong a speedy recovery!
