"Now We Are Breaking Up" Ratings Rise For 2nd Episode + "Jirisan" Takes 1st Place In Time Slot
SBS’s new drama “Now We Are Breaking Up” is on the rise!
On November 13, the new romance drama starring Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Yong saw a significant increase in viewership from its premiere the night before. According to Nielsen Korea, the second episode of “Now We Are Breaking Up” earned an average nationwide rating of 8.0 percent and a peak of 10.5 percent.
MBC’s new drama “The Red Sleeve,” which airs in the same time slot as “Now We Are Breaking Up,” remained relatively stable for its own second episode. The latest broadcast of the historical romance starring 2PM’s Lee Junho and Lee Se Young scored an average nationwide rating of 5.6 percent and a peak of 8.2 percent.
Meanwhile, tvN’s “Jirisan” took first place in its time slot across all channels—including public broadcast networks—with an average nationwide rating of 7.9 percent and a peak of 8.7 percent. The mystery drama starring Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon also remained first place in its time slot among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 3.9 percent and a peak of 4.4 percent.
tvN’s new drama “Happiness” took first place in its time slot across all cable channels with an average nationwide rating of 3.3 percent and a peak of 4.1 percent. The apocalyptic thriller starring ZE:A’s Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo also achieved its highest ratings to date among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 2.2 percent and a peak of 3.0 percent.
JTBC’s “Inspector Koo” fell to an average nationwide rating of 1.8 percent for the night, while OCN’s “Chimera” dipped to 1.0 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Young Lady and Gentleman” remained the most-watched program of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 28.2 percent.
