7 Heartwarming Same-Group Idol Bromances To Brighten Your Day
We often hear about cross-group idol bromances, and it’s always heartwarming to see these friendships brought to life outside the usual competition between K-pop groups. When it comes to bromances within groups, the first thought that comes to mind is that they’re a group, so they all must be friends. And while that’s essentially true, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t epic (best)friendships within the groups that have been developed throughout the years.
Here are seven heartwarming idol bromances within K-pop groups that you may or may not already know about!
1. Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk
Since Super Junior is one of the very first K-pop groups of the second generation, it is safe to say that Donghae and Eunhyuk go way back. The two have known each other since as early as 2001, and their friendship is so tight that they debuted as the duo group D&E in 2011. These two bros share an unbreakable bond that they put to the test on this Buzzfeed BFF test.
2. Wanna One’s Kang Daniel and Ong Seong Wu
Kang Daniel and Ong Seong Wu’s friendship blossomed during their participation in “Produce 101 Season 2.” Ever since then, watching these two interact on camera has been pure bliss as their bromance is simply undeniable. With the news that Wanna One will reunite for the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards, it felt fitting to throw it back to one of the best onscreen idol bromances.
3. EXO’s Sehun and Suho
The relationship between a group’s leader and the maknae is usually that of a cat and mouse. An exception is made between Sehun and Suho, who share a rather close bond and are always seen giggling, having fun, and even looking after one another. Their chemistry is undeniable, much to the delight of EXO-Ls around the world. Leader-maknae bromance for the win!
4. ATEEZ’s Yeosang and Wooyoung
Prior to debuting in ATEEZ, Yeosang and Wooyoung trained together at Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE). In fact, Wooyoung left his previous label just to follow Yeosang to KQ Entertainment, where their future as idols was awaiting. This precious friendship goes way beyond the music industry. They keep flaunting it time and time again, teasing each other, talking fondly of one another, and of course, being proud for being best friends since 2014.
5. NCT’s Doyoung and Jungwoo
Another friendship that stands the test of time is that of Doyoung and Jungwoo. The two met as trainees at SM Entertainment and are currently fellow members in both NCT U and NCT 127. The two recently got together for an interview and photoshoot where they talked about their friendship, stating that they have a lot in common and that they provide emotional support for one another. Watch these two goofballs pose for their flawless Cosmopolitan photoshoot.
6. BTS’s V and Jimin
Same-year liners usually share a very tight relationship, and the wholesomeness of V and Jimin’s friendship is living proof. Ever since they debuted as BTS members, all eyes have been closely watching their camaraderie. Bickering at times, and caring at others, these two have shown that they’re more than just colleagues. Furthermore, they released a song together that is the ultimate friendship statement. Listen down below!
7. GOT7’s BamBam and Yugyeom
GOT7’s maknae line happen to be born in the same year, and they have also formed a solid friendship. The two got close during their trainee days, and their relationship got stronger ever since. With Yugyeom being rather calm and BamBam channeling chaotic energy, it looks like these two are a platonic match made in heaven! Recently, the pair featured in “Hoody’s Home Dining” where they looked back on their friendship over the past decade.
