MAMAMOO's Moonbyul Tears Up After Becoming A Successful Fan Of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon On "Amazing Saturday"
On November 27, MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul and Hwasa appeared as guests on tvN’s “Amazing Saturday.”
During the episode, Moonbyul revealed that she was a huge fan of Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, who is a fixed cast member on the show. Hwasa shared, “Backstage, she was telling me how nervous she was. I told her to calm down.”
Moonbyul said, “I’m a little bit regretful that I’m sitting beside her. Because now I can’t see her.” She also shared that she used to have a photo of Taeyeon as her phone background. Moonbyul explained, “Once I had the dream of becoming a singer, I didn’t know what to do next, so I followed in Taeyeon’s footsteps. I went to the same music academy she did and the nine of us there practiced Girls’ Generation’s songs.”
Hwasa said, “Even the members didn’t know this. She didn’t tell us.” Moonbyul said, “I wanted to just sit quietly beside her. I didn’t want to get close to her.” SHINee’s Key and Park Na Rae acknowledged, “Real fans are like that.”
At the request of the cast, Taeyeon said warmly to Moonbyul, “Byul, you’ve worked hard. I’m a fan of yours too. I’ve seen you on your radio show too.” Moonbyul got emotional at her words and ended up tearing up.
Later, Moonbyul also shared that she had a connection with Hanhae, another cast member. “I didn’t know anything about rap,” she said, who is MAMAMOO’s main rapper. “But he taught me everything.” Hanhae complained, “Even if you say that, they won’t believe me for another three years.” Moonbyul insisted, “He was my savior.”
