Watch: Yoo Seung Ho And Hyeri Are Afraid To Be Together Despite Their Love In Upcoming Historical Drama Teaser

KBS’s upcoming historical drama “Moonshine” released a new teaser with Yoo Seung Ho and Hyeri!

“Moonshine” is a drama set in the Joseon era, during the time when prohibition laws were at their strongest. The series will tell the love story of Kang Ro Seo, a struggling aristocrat who starts illegally making alcohol in order to support her family (played by Hyeri), and Joseon’s greatest inspector Nam Young, who is known for living a very principled life (played by Yoo Seung Ho).

The heart-fluttering new teaser begins with Kang Ro Seo and Nam Young standing close together. The two are hiding in a corner as Kang Ro Seo uses her hand to cover Nam Young’s mouth while Nam Young looks surprised by Kang Ro Seo’s action.

In the background, Nam Young remarks, “My lady, just who are you? Who are you that you seem so familiar?” Nam Young fixes his flustered gaze on Kang Ro Seo, who looks back at him with pleading eyes.

The scene switches over to Nam Young meeting the mysterious illegal alcohol brewer Kang Ro Seo beneath the falling cherry blossoms. In her reply, Kang Ro Seo narrates, “Don’t try to find out. It’ll only ruin your future.” The text on the screen reads, “An inspector and an illegal alcohol brewer. A dangerous connection is formed,” previewing the relationship between the two.

As Kang Ro Seo turns her back on Nam Young while crying, Nam Young also tears up since he can only watch Kang Ro Seo move further away from him. Nam Young asks, “Why are you trying to push me away like this?”

In the final scenes, Kang Ro Seo and Nam Young tightly hold hands while running away from something. Kang Ro Seo strokes Nam Young’s face as Kang Ro Seo answers, “Because I was just scared. It’s because I’m scared.”

The production team shared, “Nam Young and Ro Seo progress from having a dangerous relationship in which they shouldn’t meet to having a relationship in which they gaze at each other lovingly, and we’ll present viewers with a taste of forbidden romance. Please anticipate the risky romance between an investigator and an illegal alcohol brewer.”
