Hyeri And Kang Mina Engage In A Chilly War Of Nerves During 1st Meeting In New Drama "Moonshine"
KBS 2TV’s upcoming historical drama “Moonshine” (also known as “When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon”) has shared new stills featuring Hyeri and Kang Mina!
Set during the period of the Joseon era when prohibition laws were at their strongest, “Moonshine” revolves around the romance between Kang Ro Seo (Hyeri), a struggling aristocrat who starts illegally making alcohol in order to support her family, and Nam Young (Yoo Seung Ho), Joseon’s greatest inspector who is known for living a very principled life.
On December 2, the drama unveiled new stills that shows the differences between Kang Ro Seo and Han Ae Jin (Kang Mina).
After her father passes away, Kang Ro Seo becomes a day laborer in order to put food on the table. Although the other aristocrats turn their backs on her, she lives cheerfully and energetically in hopes that her older brother, Kang Hae Soo (Bae Yoo Ram), will pass the gwageo, the highest-level state examination to become a government official.
On the other hand, Han Ae Jin the beloved only daughter of a high-ranking noble family. She grew up carefully cultivated like a flower, eating only the choicest foods and wearing only the choicest clothes. To her father, Han Sang Woon (Lee Hwang Eui), she is the apple of his eye. Growing up in this environment, she always got what she wanted and never had to do what she didn’t want to do. However, she has a lot of curiosity about the world outside her family home and has an unpredictable personality.
The newly released stills show their oddly tense first encounter. Kang Ro Seo and Han Ae Jin meet for the first time in the middle of the market, and they engage in a subtle war of nerves by locking eyes. There’s even a constable present, which raises questions about why these two characters got off on the wrong foot.
The production team stated, “Kang Ro Seo and Han Ae Jin, who started off with an ill-fated relationship, will overcome bigger and more dangerous situations together in the future. Please check out the performances of these two young ladies who are extremely different from each other.”
“Moonshine” will premiere on December 20 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser for the drama here!
