TXT Earns Their 1st RIAJ Platinum Certification In Japan + Stray Kids Goes Gold For 3rd Time
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
On December 9, the RIAJ announced that TXT’s first Japanese EP “Chaotic Wonderland,” which was released last month, had received an official platinum certification for over 250,000 units shipped in Japan. According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 units shipped and platinum at 250,000.
Not only is “Chaotic Wonderland” TXT’s first album to go platinum in Japan, but TXT has now also become only the third Korean artist to earn an official RIAJ platinum certification for an album in 2021, following BTS and SEVENTEEN.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids’ 2020 Japanese mini album “ALL IN” received an official gold certification for 100,000 units shipped.
“ALL IN” is now Stray Kids’ third album to go gold in Japan, following their Japanese single albums “TOP” and “Scars/Thunderous.”
Congratulations to TXT and Stray Kids!
