Super Junior Attends Leeteuk's Sister's Wedding, Discusses Which Member Will Get Married Next, And More

The members of Super Junior were in attendance at Leeteuk’s older sister’s wedding to help her celebrate!

On the December 12 episode of SBS’s “My Little Old Boy,” Kim Heechul’s segment featured him serving as the MC at Leeteuk’s sister Park In Young’s wedding. Heechul surprised everyone by appearing much more nervous than usual, and his mom explained from the studio that Leeteuk had been the MC at Heechul’s sister’s wedding a few years prior.

While watching Leeteuk walk his sister down the aisle, Heechul got choked up and mumbled, “I feel weird. I’m getting teary.”

Later, Super Junior’s Yesung sang his “Cinderella’s Sister” OST “It Has to be You” as the congratulatory song. Before he began, Yesung made everyone giggle by saying, “First off, I just want to say thank you so much. Thank you so much for taking our older sister [in marriage].” He continued, “There’s something I promised noona a long time ago. I will sing that song now.”

After the first half of the ceremony, Heechul went to go see his parents in the audience. His mother told him, “You have to get married too. Not just serve as MC.” Heechul responded, “After seeing this, I think it’ll be harder to [get married].” His mother insisted, “We decided you would [get married] by next year. When you were 40 [by Korean reckoning].”

He then joined the rest of the Super Junior members at their table. The group watched the couple take photos while kissing and Heechul hilariously commented, “I don’t want to get married because I’d be too embarrassed to kiss in front of my parents. How can I kiss in front of my parents?” From the studio, his mom calmly responded, “You can do it.”

Heechul revealed, “I’m most curious about Choi Siwon’s wedding.” Kyuhyun added, “I think a lot of foreigners will also come to Siwon hyung’s wedding.” Heechul jokingly added, “Aren’t all those business people going to come too?”

Choi Siwon then asked Heechul, “When do you want to get married?” Heechul answered, “When I was younger, I wanted to do it quickly, but I gradually want to do it less and less. I’ve been the MC [at weddings] a few times, but I don’t think it’ll be easy.”

As a joke, Choi Siwon chimed in, “Among our members, Ryeowook will probably get married first.” Two years ago, the Super Junior members made a bet on “My Little Old Boy” that whoever won a game of rock, paper, scissors had to get married within the next three years, which Ryeowook won. While looking back on their bet, the members jokingly commented that they technically weren’t “allowed” to get married before Ryeowook in order to keep their promise to viewers.

Kyuhyun shared, “If one of our members gets married, I’m going to cry.” Heechul added, “That’s because we know everything about them, starting from their past.” Eunhyuk agreed, saying, “I do think I’d cry.” Leeteuk then revealed, “Yesung’s mom said this to me. That she wants the members to have a joint wedding.”

For the second half of the wedding, Choi Siwon joined Kim Heechul as an MC, reuniting them in this position for the first time in 15 years since they were special MCs on “Inkigayo” together. Although they just nervously read off the script, making their fellow Super Junior members laugh, the duo expressed satisfaction with their own performance at the end of the ceremony.
