Im Siwan And Go Ah Sung's Upcoming Drama "Tracer" Reveals Premiere Date And Poster

MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Tracer” is gearing up for its premiere!

“Tracer” is a new drama taking place at the National Tax Service. Im Siwan stars as Hwang Dong Joo, a new team manager of the Seoul Regional Office’s Investigation Bureau, while Go Ah Sung stars as Seo Hye Young, a fellow team member at the Seoul Regional Office who is unafraid to face the cowardly world head-on. The drama is written by scriptwriter Kim Hyun Jung and helmed by director Lee Seung Young of “Voice 2” and “The Missing.”

One of the biggest points to look out for in the upcoming drama will be the realistic acting by the cast. In addition to Im Siwan and Go Ah Sung, Son Hyun Joo will take on the role of In Tae Joon, the commissioner of the Seoul Regional Office who dreams of becoming something bigger, and Park Yong Woo will play Oh Young, who was once the ace of the National Tax Service but is now the section chief who doesn’t believe in doing any work.

The new poster depicts the four main leads posing confidently in suits as the text, “Shake them empty, or break them down,” appears in bold behind them. The bottom text reads, “Refreshing pursuit action drama of tough guys chasing after bad money.”

The newly released stills also give a more detailed look at the four leads in “Tracer.” Before Hwang Dong Joo became the team manager of the Seoul Regional Office’s Investigation Bureau, he was the industry’s top accountant who managed the secret funds of major companies. In addition to being exceptionally skilled, Hwang Dong Joo will make the story even more refreshing with his brazen and crazy nature. This will be Im Siwan’s first MBC drama in five years following his role in “The King Loves” in 2017, raising anticipation for the actor’s transformation.

Go Ah Sung transforms into Seo Hye Young, who leads the team more actively than anyone else with her outstanding intuition and investigative abilities. She’ll also portray exceptional chemistry with team leader Hwang Dong Joo as they chase after bad money together.

Viewers are also looking forward to Son Hyun Joo’s performance as In Tae Joon, the No. 2 head of the National Tax Service. Having impressed with his ability to immerse into his roles, Son Hyun Joo will captivate once again with his charismatic portrayal in his first MBC drama in 15 years following “H.I.T” in 2007.

Furthermore, “Tracer” will be Park Yong Woo’s long-awaited return to MBC after 21 years following his role in “Sun Hee And Jin Hee.” Park Yong Woo will play section chief Oh Young, who will clash with team leader Hwang Dong Joo and change in the process.
