Kim Nam Gil And Jin Sun Kyu Team Up To Catch A Culprit In Intriguing Poster For New Drama
SBS’s upcoming drama “Through the Darkness” has released a new teaser poster of Kim Nam Gil and Jin Sun Kyu!
“Through the Darkness” is based on a book of the same name that was co-penned by Kwon Il Yong and Go Na Moo. It will tell the story of South Korea’s first criminal profiler as he struggles to look inside and read the hearts of serial killers during a time when the word “profiling” did not exist.
Kim Nam Gil will play profiler Song Ha Young of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Scientific Investigation of Criminal Behavior Analysis team. Although Song Ha Young appears to lack emotions, he’s a figure who reads more deeply into humans than anyone else.
Jin Sun Kyu will star as Guk Young Soo, the team leader of the Criminal Behavior Analysis team. He recognized the need to analyze criminal behavior, and after a long period of planning, he created the Criminal Behavior Analysis team.
The new poster raises the question of how the two characters will come together as the poster shows them walking in the rain, holding an umbrella. The words on the poster represents two different sides to the story with the questions, “Why did you think that person was the culprit?” and “Why did you think that person was not the culprit?”
New stills of Jin Sun Kyu have been released as well. The photos showcase Jin Sun Kyu’s incredible acting as he manages to portray the warm-hearted nature of his character as well as his serious side when it comes to his work.
Praising Jin Sun Kyu’s acting abilities, the production crew commented, “Jin Sun Kyu’s character is an extremely important starting point to this drama. From the first shoot, Jin Sun Kyu really became Guk Young Soo himself.”
They went on to add, “Please look forward to his performance.”
“Through the Darkness” will premiere on January 14 at 10 p.m. KST after the conclusion of “Now We Are Breaking Up.”
