Kim So Jin Transforms Into A Legendary Detective In New Crime Drama With Kim Nam Gil
SBS’s upcoming drama “Those Who Read Hearts of Evil” (literal title) shared its first glimpse of Kim So Jin!
“Those Who Read Hearts of Evil” is based on a book of the same name that was co-penned by Kwon Il Yong and Go Na Moo. It will tell the story of South Korea’s first criminal profiler Song Ha Young (Kim Nam Gil) as he struggles to look inside and read the hearts of serial killers during a time when the word “profiling” did not exist.
Kim So Jin will take on the role of Yoon Tae Goo, the team leader of the Mobile Investigation Unit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Yoon Tae Goo uses her animal-like instincts to perceive cases, and she’s known as a legend in the world of handling violent crimes.
In the newly released stills, Kim So Jin flawlessly portrays Yoon Tae Goo. In one photo, Yoon Tae Goo falls on the ground, but she doesn’t look fazed at all. Another photo captures her fiery charisma that overpowers criminals at once. She mesmerizes viewers with her intense energy and unyielding passion for justice.
The drama’s production team stated, “Kim So Jin’s character Yoon Tae Goo looks combative, but she is sharper than anyone else, and depending on the situation, she shines with strong charisma. In addition, she will become intertwined with Kim Nam Gil’s and Jin Sun Kyu‘s characters and create tight tension in the drama. That’s why the actor’s acting skills are very important. Kim So Jin, who already showcased her brilliant acting skills on the theater stage as well as the small and big screens, is the most suitable actress to play Yoon Tae Goo. We ask for your interest and anticipation.”
“Those Who Read Hearts of Evil” will premiere on January 14, 2022 at 10 p.m. KST.
