Watch: 2PM's Lee Junho And Lee Se Young Overcome Funny Obstacles While Filming Kiss Scene For "The Red Sleeve"

“The Red Sleeve” has shared a new behind-the-scenes video!

MBC’s “The Red Sleeve” is a historical drama about the imperial romance between emperor Yi San (played by 2PM’s Lee Junho) and the strong-willed court lady Seong Deok Im (played by Lee Se Young).

The clip, which takes viewers onto the set of Episodes 13 and 14, starts with Junho and Lee Se Young filming outside. As he attempts to rehearse his next line, both Lee Se Young and the director start laughing as they ask, “Are you crying?!” Next, as Junho wears the attire of the King for the first time, Oh Dae Hwan also appears in a new outfit, as he’s now the King’s escort. The staff members joke, “Congratulations on your promotion!”

Junho and Lee Se Young begin skipping stones, but struggle to hold in their laughter. Junho comments in disbelief, “Even if I’m an actor…” and the director immediately responds with a giggle, “What are you talking about! As an actor, you have to get it done no matter what!” Junho explains while laughing, “But I messed it up and then say that I did well.”

At night, Kang Hoon and Lee Se Young rehearse an action scene and are later joined by Junho and Oh Dae Hwan. Oh Dae Hwan suggests an idea for his attack on Kang Hoon and shyly comments, “Please let me do one cool thing,” making the director laugh and give in.

Later, Junho and Lee Se Young prepare for their kiss scene. As they lightheartedly practice their lines, the director explains that they must bicker to the point where the kiss catches viewers completely off guard. To better understand the scene, Junho casually asks the director, “Have you ever experienced a situation like this?” Right away, she says, “Of course not,” and Junho jokingly proceeds, “Who here has experienced this situation? I will hear about your experiences. Anyone who has kissed after fighting like this.”

After diligently rehearsing their lines, the two start filming the kiss. However, Lee Se Young immediately calls for a stop and explains, “Director! Since I’m resisting, my eyes stay open?!” She then hilariously imitates how Junho was slyly smiling at her because the camera couldn’t catch his expression.

Another take is interrupted by a laugh attack, and Lee Se Young repeatedly apologizes for giggling. Junho comments, “Everyone, wasn’t that fun? It’s all done now,” and the two cease all laughter to create the perfect scene.
