IVE's "ELEVEN" Remains No. 1; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2022, January Week 1
IVE’s “ELEVEN” repeats as the No. 1 song for the first weekly chart of 2022! Despite no chart update last week, “ELEVEN” still remains ahead of the competition to remain on top for the second week overall. “ELEVEN” has also won on five music shows. Congratulations to IVE!
Re-entering the chart at No. 2 is BTS’s “Butter.” This song was a chart-topping hit for BTS last summer and has regained popularity to overtake the group’s more recent songs.
Rounding out the top three and moving back up one spot to No. 3 is TWICE’s former No. 1 song “SCIENTIST.”
There are four songs that newly entered the top 10 this week.
Debuting at No. 5 is aespa’s “Dreams Come True,” a remake of S.E.S’s classic hit from 1998. The remake is produced by BoA.
BE’O’s “Counting Stars” featuring Beenzino debuts at No. 6. A rising hip hop star, BE’O has gained much popularity after competing on “Show Me the Money 10.”
Moving up eight spots to No. 7 is MINO’s “TANG!♡,” the title song from his third studio album “TO INFINITY.” The hip hop song expresses the ambition to do anything for love.
NCT U’s “Universe (Let’s Play Ball)” enters the chart at No. 8. One of the title songs from NCT’s third studio album “Universe,” members Doyoung, Jungwoo, Mark, Xiaojun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, and Shotaro participated in the R&B dance track.
