TWICE Debuts On Billboard's Pop Radio Airplay Chart For 1st Time With "The Feels"
Over three months after its release, TWICE’s “The Feels” has become their first song ever to debut on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart!
For the week ending on January 8, TWICE scored their first-ever entry on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States. The group’s pre-release single “The Feels”—which first dropped back in October—entered the chart at No. 40, making it their first song ever to do so.
Only two other K-pop girl groups have ever entered the Pop Airplay chart before: BLACKPINK, with their Selena Gomez collab “Ice Cream,” and LOONA, with their English-language single “Star.”
Meanwhile, over on Billboard’s famous Top 200 Albums chart (its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States), TWICE’s latest album “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” stayed strong at No. 79, marking its seventh consecutive week on the Billboard 200. Not only did “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” successfully extend its own record as the longest-charting K-pop girl group album released in 2021, but it has now also become only the second K-pop girl group album in history ever to spend seven weeks on the Billboard 200 (following BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM“).
TWICE previously made Billboard history with “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” in the first week of its release, when the album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200—making TWICE the first K-pop girl group in history with two top 10 albums.
“Formula of Love: O+T=<3” also came in at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 9 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 10 on the Top Album Sales chart this week, while “The Feels” ranked No. 79 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 138 on the Global 200.
Finally, TWICE charted at No. 88 on this week’s Artist 100.
Congratulations to TWICE!
