Watch: Kim Tae Ri Reunites With Nam Joo Hyuk In Her 20s After First Meeting Him In High School In New Drama

tvN’s upcoming drama “Twenty Five, Twenty One” has released a beautiful first teaser!

Set in 1998, “Twenty Five, Twenty One” is a drama about youth who find new direction and growth after having their dreams taken away. Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk star as Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin, who first meet when they are 18 and 22 years old and fall in love years later when they turn 21 and 25.

The teaser starts off with Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk playing their characters at 18 and 22. Kim Tae Ri is a bright young high school student dressed in uniform and carrying her fencing equipment around on her back. She appears fascinated with the part-time employee of the local bookshop, played by Nam Joo Hyuk. In voice-over, she says, “When I was 18, we first called each other by name.” Although Nam Joo Hyuk looks unfazed by this high school girl’s brazen stare, the two later run hand-in-hand together on a snowy night.

The teaser then shifts to the characters’ older selves at 21 and 25. This reunion appears to take place on a college campus, where Kim Tae Ri approaches Nam Joo Hyuk, who is carrying a yellow rose. Although she runs away from the surprise encounter, the voice-over says, “When I was 21, we fell in love.”

“Twenty Five, Twenty One” premieres on February 12 at 9:10 p.m. KST. Check out the teaser below!
