Gong Yoo Drops Out Of Talks For "Kingdom" Writer Kim Eun Hee's New Drama

Gong Yoo has ultimately turned down his offer to star in SBS’s upcoming drama “Devil.”

Last month, both Gong Yoo and Kim Tae Ri were revealed to be in talks for “Devil,” which will be penned by Kim Eun Hee—the famous writer known for dramas like “Signal,” “Kingdom,” and most recently, “Jirisan.”

However, earlier this week, it was reported that Gong Yoo had decided not to star in the drama after all.

A source at SBS has since confirmed, “Unfortunately, Gong Yoo will be unable to appear [in ‘Devil’] due to scheduling conflicts.”

“Devil” is currently scheduled to premiere on SBS within 2022.
