3 Heart-Fluttering Scenes Of Yoo Seung Ho And Hyeri's Romance In "Moonshine"

Hyeri and Yoo Seung Ho’s relationship is heating up in KBS 2TV’s “Moonshine”!

“Moonshine” is a drama set in the Joseon era during the time when prohibition laws were at their strongest. The series tells the love story of Kang Ro Seo, a struggling aristocrat who starts illegally making alcohol in order to support her family (played by Hyeri), and Joseon’s greatest inspector Nam Young, who is known for living a very principled life (played by Yoo Seung Ho).

Previously in episode 8, Kang Ro Seo and Nam Young split amidst tears without having revealed their sincere feelings for one another. However, they were reconnected when Kang Ro Seo saved Nam Young from Shin Heon (Moon Yoo Kang), the leader of Seoul’s moonshine (illegal alcohol) organization.

With growing anticipation for the couple’s romance, below are three heart-fluttering moments between Kang Ro Seo and Nam Young:

Risky co-habitation of an illegal alcohol brewer and an inspector

Nam Young and Kang Ro Seo first met during a scuffle, and Nam Young had looked on in disapproval when he saw Kang Ro Seo tear off a man’s topknot. Following their unforgettable first encounter, Nam Young began to rent a room in the back of Kang Ro Seo’s house. When Nam Young first visited the house and was about to open the back room, Kang Ro Seo tried to stop him in fear of having her large liquor jars exposed, marking the start of their risky romance.

Although Nam Young and Kang Ro Seo began to have feelings for each other while living in the same house, their relationship outside was that of an inspector chasing after an illegal alcohol brewer. The scene in episode 2 where Nam Young tried to remove Kang Ro Seo’s mask also gave great thrill to the viewers.

Despite the fact that Nam Young and Kang Ro Seo had decided not to interfere in each other’s work, they’ve gone on to develop a relationship in which they step forward to save each other when they’re caught in sticky situations. When Nam Young was facing death due to Kye Sang Mok (Hong Wan Pyo), Kang Ro Seo saved Nam Young by smashing a liquor jar on top of Kye Sang Mok’s head. Afterwards, the two ran away while tightly holding hands.

Nam Young was dumbstruck to learn the truth that Kang Ro Seo makes moonshine and that she tried to kill Kye Sang Mok because he discovered her secret, but Nam Young still protected Kang Ro Seo when she was in danger. He instinctively protected Kang Ro Seo and covered her head in front of Kye Sang Mok, revealing the feelings he has for her in the process.

Furthermore, in episode 8, Nam Young was in danger of being dragged away after getting kidnapped by Shim Heon. However, Kang Ro Seo saved Nam Young by ramming the moonshine cart that she had protected with her life into Shim Heon’s gang. The episode ended with Kang Ro Seo grabbing Nam Young’s hand and running away.

With the moment before their kiss having been teased in the upcoming episode, viewers are highly anticipating the development of Kang Ro Seo and Nam Young’s romance in future episodes.
