"Running Man" Cast Test Negative For COVID-19 After Eunhyuk's Diagnosis + Song Ji Hyo To Self-Quarantine
The entire cast of SBS’s “Running Man” have confirmed that they have tested negative for COVID-19.
On January 20, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk confirmed that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Eunhyuk filmed a guest appearance on “Running Man” on January 17. On January 21, SBS confirmed that all the cast and crew members would get PCR tests for the virus.
Later on January 21, Yoo Jae Suk’s agency, Antenna Music, confirmed, “He has received a negative test result for COVID-19 and will continue his schedule as planned.” Representatives for Ji Suk Jin and HaHa also confirmed that they had tested negative.
King Kong by Starship confirmed that Jun So Min had tested negative, though it was also revealed that she would be absent from “Running Man” recordings for a brief period as she recovers from a foot injury. Turbo JK Company confirmed that Kim Jong Kook had also tested negative and would carry out his schedule as planned. SM C&C confirmed that Yang Se Chan had also tested negative.
Song Ji Hyo’s agency, Creative Group ING, confirmed that the actress had also tested negative but would be undergoing self-quarantine due to her vaccination status.
The agency said, “On January 20, she learned that she had crossed paths with someone who was positive for COVID-19 during the January 17 recording. She immediately relayed the news to all the relevant people and went to get a PCR test for COVID-19. The result of the test was negative, but out of precaution, she canceled her scheduled activities and will be going into self-quarantine for 10 days. She will not be participating in the ‘Running Man’ recordings scheduled for January 24 and 25.
“We will reveal the reason for her 10-day self-quarantine. When Song Ji Hyo was a child, she was diagnosed with a drug allergy. In 2011, she received a Ringer’s injection to recover her stamina during her busy schedule, but she had a bad reaction in which blotches rose up all over her body and she became short of breath. At that time, there is a record of her receiving treatment in the emergency room. Afterward, she continued to show abnormal reactions to things like antibiotics. After a long period of consultations with her doctor, she decided to take her time and carefully consider the issue of getting the COVID-19 vaccine. As a result, she is currently unvaccinated.”
