Kwon Eun Bi Tests Positive For COVID-19

Former IZ*ONE member and current solo artist Kwon Eun Bi has tested positive COVID-19.

On January 27, her agency, Woollim Entertainment, confirmed that Kwon Eun Bi was diagnosed with a breakthrough infection of COVID-19, meaning that she was infected despite being vaccinated. The agency also stated that Kwon Eun Bi had been scheduled for a third dose next week before testing positive for COVID-19.

Woollim’s statement reads:

Hello, this is Woollim Entertainment.

On the afternoon of January 27, our artist Kwon Eun Bi received a positive test result for COVID-19.

Kwon Eun Bi had completed two doses of her COVID-19 vaccine. After one of the dancers with whom she practiced her new song tested positive, she got a call on the morning of January 27 identifying her as a close contact. She went to get tested and received the positive result in the afternoon.

She has halted all her scheduled activities and will be following the necessary requirements and directions of the disease control authorities.

At the moment, she only has mild cold symptoms. All the relevant staff members have also been tested and are ewaiting for their results.

We will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our artists and employees and will follow the directions of the disease control authorities as the results are determined.

We apologize for causing concern and will do our best to comply with the disease prevention rules regarding COVID-19.
