Kim Jae Hwan Tests Positive For COVID-19
Kim Jae Hwan has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
On February 2, his agency Swing Entertainment confirmed that the idol tested positive for the virus.
Swing Entertainment’s full announcement is as follows:
Hello, this is Swing Entertainment.
Kim Jae Hwan has tested positive for COVID-19 this afternoon (February 2). He previously received two doses of the vaccine.
On the afternoon of February 1, a staff member participating in the Seongnam concert got positive results from their self-test kit. Therefore, the artist and related staff underwent PCR testing on February 1 and 2 as a preemptive response. The artist and some staff members who immediately underwent PCR testing on February 1 have tested positive this afternoon, so we must inevitably cancel the Seongnam concerts that are scheduled on February 5 and 6.
We will quickly organize the refunds related to the cancellation of the performances and notify you in detail later. In addition, it is difficult to confirm the exact timing of infection, so we recommend that fans who participated in the MAKESTAR face-to-face fan signing event on January 29 undergo preemptive testing.
Currently, Kim Jae Hwan has halted all scheduled activities and is taking necessary measures, and we will do our best for his recovery.
In compliance with the disease control authorities’ COVID-19 guidelines, we will take necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by considering the health recovery of confirmed artists and staff members as a top priority.
We apologize for causing concern.
Wishing Kim Jae Hwan a speedy recovery!
