Lee Se Young Joins Lee Seung Gi In Talks For New Drama About Law And Love
Lee Se Young may be starring opposite Lee Seung Gi in an upcoming drama!
On February 3, an industry representative told Sports Chosun that Lee Se Young will be the lead actress in KBS 2TV’s new drama “Love According to the Law” (literal title).
In response to the reports, her agency Prain TPC stated, “‘Love According to the Law’ is one of the projects that Lee Se Young was offered to appear in and is reviewing.”
Based on a web novel, “Love According to the Law” is a law romance drama that unfolds at Law Café, which is both a law firm and a café. The drama tells the story of a landlord, who is a former prosecutor once known as the “monster genius,” and a lawyer, who is a former Miss Korea contestant.
The drama will be helmed by director Lee Eun Jin and co-produced by Jidam Media, which worked on TV Chosun’s “Love (Ft. Marriage and Divorce) and KBS 2TV’s “Doctor Prisoner,” and Higround, which recently worked on TV Chosun’s “Uncle.”
Lee Se Young has been offered the role of Kim Yu Ri, a lawyer who is a former Miss Korea contestant. She used to work at a powerful, large law firm, but she suddenly leaves her job and opens up a café instead. The drama will portray what happens when she finds out that the owner of the building is her high school friend Jung Ho. Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi is currently in talks to star in the drama as Jung Ho.
Lee Se Young and Lee Seung Gi previously worked together in the tvN drama “Hwayugi.” So fans are eager to find out if they will reunite for this new project. “Love According to the Law” is slated to air in August.
Recently, Lee Se Young impressed viewers with her sincere acting performance in the hit MBC drama “The Red Sleeve.”
