fromis_9's Lee Seo Yeon Tests Positive For COVID-19

fromis_9’s Lee Seo Yeon has bee diagnosed with COVID-19.

On February 4, her agency PLEDIS Entertainment shared that she would be taking a break from activities to focus on treatment.

Hello, this is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We are informing you about fromis_9 member Lee Seo Yeon’s positive test results for COVID-19 and the adjustment of her future schedule.

Lee Seo Yeon preemptively visited the hospital on the evening of February 3 (Thursday) due to symptoms of fatigue and itchy throat, and she tested positive in the rapid antigen test. As a result, she went to a screening center and underwent a PCR test. On the morning of January 4 (Friday), she was diagnosed with COVID-19. Currently, she isn’t experiencing any symptoms other than an itchy throat and mild dizziness, and she is waiting for guidance from the disease control authorities.

All members of fromis_9, besides Lee Seo Yeon, tested negative in the rapid antigen tests conducted on February 3, and they are currently not showing any particular symptoms. The members preemptively went into self-quarantine, and they are waiting for additional instructions from the health center, such as determining whether they made any close contact [with COVID-19 patients] or need additional PCR testing.

Accordingly, fromis_9 will postpone some of its activities related to their fourth mini album “Midnight Guest,” including today’s KBS’s “Music Bank” appearance and the fan signing events (Music Plant on February 4, Joeun Music on February 5, BEATROAD on February 6, Shopee on February 10, 一直娱 on February 12). We will give an update of the schedule when she resumes activities.

We will prioritize the health of the artists and do our best to support Lee Seo Yeon’s treatment and recovery so that she can meet her fans in good health. In addition, we will faithfully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the disease control authorities.
