Singer-Actor Lee Jee Hoon Tests Positive For COVID-19 After Developing Fever

Singer and actor Lee Jee Hoon has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

On February 9, Lee Jee Hoon’s agency Jupiter Entertainment released the following statement:

Singer-actor Lee Jee Hoon was diagnosed with COVID-19 today (February 9).

Lee Jee Hoon previously received two doses of the vaccine, and his PCR test results from February 5 came back negative. However, the next afternoon, he noticed that something was off about his health, so he voluntarily went into self-isolation.

Even while in self-quarantine, he repeatedly tested himself using at least four self-test kits, and he got a negative result every time. But when his fever rose to 39 degrees Celsius [approximately 102.2 degrees Fahrenheit], he recognized the severity of the situation, and on February 7, he immediately underwent another PCR test and ultimately tested positive for COVID-19.

Due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases following the Lunar New Year holiday, processing [of tests] became delayed, which is why Lee Jee Hoon received his positive test result today, February 9. He is currently much better, and thanks to his speedy response of going into self-isolation as soon as he noticed that he had a high fever, he has been able to focus on his treatment without any big problems.
