Watch: Jung Hae In, BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Yoon Se Ah, And More Poke Fun At Each Other While Filming Intense Explosion Scenes For "Snowdrop"
In case fans have been missing “Snowdrop,” JTBC has shared a new behind-the-scenes video!
“Snowdrop” is set in 1987 and tells the love story between Su Ho (Jung Hae In), who rushes into a women’s university covered in blood one day, and Young Ro (BLACKPINK’s Jisoo), a student at the women’s university who hides and take care of him despite facing danger and close surveillance. “Snowdrop” aired its final two episodes on January 30, with the finale achieving the second-highest ratings of the drama’s entire run.
At the start of the clip, Jisoo, Jang Seung Jo, and Yoon Se Ah are peering over their escape plan. Due to Jang Seung Jo’s shadow covering the paper, the ladies are forced to move in closer together, making the director joke, “You three look especially sweet today.” To keep in character, the actresses quickly disagree and explain the situation.
As they continue with the scene, Jang Seung Jo uses a walkie talkie to tell Jung Yoo Jin to bring a bus to the school. He messes up his line and makes everyone laugh by commenting, “Oh, sorry. I told her to text me when she arrived.”
Jisoo shows her adorable curiosity as she gets a detailed explanation from the director about how the bomb explodes in their upcoming scene. Jung Hae In then comes back inside after filming and tells Jisoo he couldn’t find her earlier. He adds, “If you came out, you would’ve left on the bus.” Yoon Se Ah bursts into laughter and comments, “It’s so funny that [the students] leave on a bus.” Once they film the explosion scene, the cast monitors the shot and Jisoo comments in awe, “Wow. It looks like CG (computer graphics).”
Due to filming with a hat on, Jung Hae In gets shy about his hair while waiting for his next scene. Jisoo jokes from the side, “[You look like] a baby bird! A bird that’s just hatched from its egg.” Jung Hae In responds, “They’re choppy bangs.”
The bonus clip at the end shows how the actors hilariously make their own gun and explosion sound effects while filming their action scenes, leaving them in a fit of giggles after the take.
