Yuehua Entertainment's New Boy Group TEMPEST To Postpone Debut After All Members Test Positive For COVID-19
All seven members of TEMPEST have tested positive for COVID-19.
The group was set to debut on February 21, but due to the members being diagnosed with COVID-19, their debut will be postponed to March 2.
On February 14, their agency Yuehua Entertainment released the following statement:
Hello, this is Yuehua Entertainment.
We are informing you about TEMPEST (Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Eunchan, LEW, Hwarang, and Taerae) testing positive for COVID-19 and the postponement of their scheduled activities.
On February 13, one of TEMPEST’s external staff members was diagnosed with COVID-19. All the members took rapid antigen tests, and they received positive results. They immediately went to the hospital and underwent PCR testing, and all seven members were diagnosed with COVID-19 today (February 14).
The TEMPEST [members] have completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and their scheduled activities were carried out after confirming their negative test results of the self-testing kits. Currently, the members are exhibiting fever and mild cold symptoms, and they are all being quarantined at home for treatment and rest as per the guidelines of the disease control authorities.
As a result, we would like to inform you that the release of their debut album “It’s ME, It’s WE” that was scheduled to be released on February 21 has been postponed to March 2 at 6 p.m. KST. We apologize for causing concern to the fans who have been waiting for their debut and all the authorities.
We will make efforts to ensure the treatment and rapid recovery of TEMPEST, and we will continue to do our best for the health and safety of our artists and staff by following the disease control guidelines.
Thank you.
Wishing them a speedy recovery!
