Park Ju Hyun And Chae Jong Hyeop's New Sports Romance Drama Shares Photos From Script Reading

KBS’s upcoming drama “Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” (literal translation) has released photos from its first script reading!

“Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” is a sports romance drama about a man and a woman who play mixed doubles on a badminton works team.

The first script reading was held last October at the KBS offices, with director Jo Woong, writer Heo Sung Hye, and cast members Park Ju Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Park Ji Hyun, Kim Moo Joon, Seo Ji Hye, Jeon Bae Soo, Jo Han Chul, In Gyo Jin, Lee Seo Hwan, Lee Ji Hyun, Sung Gi Yoon, Choi Seung Yoon, Jo Soo Hyang, Moon Dong Hyuk, Kwon So Hyun, Bin Chang Wook, Jeon Hye Won, and Lee Chae Min.

Park Ju Hyun stars as Park Tae Yang, the queen of smashing and a former aspiring Olympian who returns to the badminton court after three years’ absence. She practices harder than everyone else in order to make up the years that she was absent from the sport. Why she suddenly left the sport three years ago is one of the central questions in the drama.

Chae Jong Hyeop stars as Park Tae Joon, a member of the works team who just thinks of badminton as his job. He has an easygoing personality that tries to smooth everything over, but occasionally shows a serious side during decisive moments.

In addition to these two leads, Park Ji Hyun plays Park Joon Young, an Olympic gold medalist who had to retire due to a sudden accident. Kim Moo Joon plays Yoon Jung Hwan, a national representative whose all-rounder playing style garners him many fans but struggles with self-management. Seo Ji Hye plays Lee Yoo Min, the “jinx” queen who became a badminton player because her father is the director of UNIS but always messes up during important games.

Jeon Bae Soo plays Park Tae Yang’s father, Park Man Soo; Jo Han Chul plays the UNIS works team’s director, Lee Tae Sang; In Gyo Jin plays UNIS’s coach, Joo Sang Hyun; and Lee Seo Hwan plays UNIS’s trainer, Kim Si Bong. Choi Seung Yoon plays Yeon Seung Woo, Jo Soo Hyang plays Lee Young Shim, Moon Dong Hyuk plays Go Dong Wan, Kwon So Hyun plays Cheon Yu Ri, Bin Chang Wook plays Oh Seon Soo, Jeon Hye Won plays Yang Sung Sil, and Lee Chae Min plays Lee Ji Ho, all members of the works team.

Teamwork is an important part of a sports drama, but the cast meshed right away even though it was their first time working together. The time flew by as the cast immersed themselves in the comedic and emotional moments of the drama, and showed their passion toward their shared goal of making a good production.
