Ong Seong Wu, Esom, And Shim Eun Kyung Confirmed To Star In New Romance Film
Ong Seong Wu, Esom, and Shim Eun Kyung will be starring together in a new romance film!
On February 18, the three stars were confirmed as the leads of the upcoming movie “Starlight Falls” (literal translation), which will switch back and forth between 1993 and the present day. The film will follow the coming-of-age story of a male student (played by Ong Seong Wu) and two female students who share the same name (played by Esom and Shim Eun Kyung), who first meet as freshmen in college.
Ong Seong Wu will star as Choi Kyung Soo, who hails from Sokcho and moves to Seoul for college. Perhaps due to the pain he experienced during his high school days, Choi Kyung Soo has a hard time opening his heart to others.
Esom will star as the confident and cool Lee Hyun Jung A, who is admired by the other students at school and is more mature than most of her peers. When she and Choi Kyung Soo meet in a stargazing club, they develop feelings for each other that they are unable to express.
Shim Eun Kyung will play the hard-working and intelligent Lee Hyun Jung B, who was admitted to college at the top of her class and has little in common with Lee Hyun Jung A apart from their name and major. Lee Hyun Jung B finds herself drawn to the reserved Choi Kyung Soo, who always seems to keep a distance between himself and the other students at school, and she tries to bring him into her group of friends.
Yang Dong Geun will also appear in the film as CEO Park, the beer-obsessed owner of the craft brewery at which Choi Kyung Soo works in the present day.
“Starlight Falls” is scheduled to begin filming in April.
