This week’s episode featured the continuation of the singers who had begun two weeks ago, with four contestants challenging for the reigning champion’s crown. The first match-up of Round 2 was between Rice Noodles and Limousine. Rice Noodles sang Oh Eun Joo’s “Throwing Stones,” a trot song, while Limousine sang Na Yoon Kwon’s “If It Was Me.”

Rice Noodles won the round with 16 votes to 5 and Limousine took off his mask to reveal himself as one of TREASURE’s main vocalists, Park Jeongwoo.

Park Jeongwoo, who turned 19 in Korean reckoning this year, said, “This is the first time I’ve stood on a stage alone. That’s why I think I was more nervous than usual.” He shared that his reason for appearing on “The King of Mask Singer” was to avenge another member and main vocalist, Bang Ye Dam, who had previously appeared on the show.

He said, laughing, “He’s someone whom I’ve looked up to and wanted to learn from ever since I joined the agency. He got eliminated in Round 2 so I was going to avenge him, but I also got eliminated in Round 2.”
