Won Ji An, Yoon Chan Young, Yoon Hyun Soo, And More Confirmed For Upcoming Teenage Noir Drama

Actors Won Ji An, Yoon Chan Young, Yoon Hyun Soo, Han Se Jin, and Yang Seo Hyun have been confirmed to star in an upcoming drama!

“Hope or Dope” is a teenage noir drama about Da Jung, an 18-year-old girl who was used by her parents in order to transport drugs, who meets Yoon Tak, a rural country bumpkin who is overwhelmed with his life, in the countryside. Together with their friends, they discover a marijuana field.

Won Ji An, who previously appeared in Netflix’s “D.P,”  will play Kyung Da Jung. Her character goes to deliver goods as her parents ordered, but she ends up hiding in the countryside after her plan went wrong. Won Ji An is expected to intrigue viewers through her portrayal of a character who has a complicated and troubled past.

Yoon Chan Young will play Gong Yoon Tak, who is the same in both appearance and personality. He recently garnered international attention for his role as Lee Cheong San in Netflix’s “All Of Us Are Dead.” Gong Yoon Tak lives as the breadwinner for his family and takes care of his father and his two younger siblings. He is caught up in the middle of all kinds of incidents after a girl, Kyung Da Jung, suddenly appears.

Yoon Hyun Soo will play Gong Yoon Tak’s younger brother and the biggest problem child of the neighborhood, Gong Yoon Jae. He is a rebellious character who always looked for a chance to get out of the house, and caused trouble by living by his own rules. Recently for some reason, he is coming home earlier and earlier. What is causing him to come home faster will pique viewers’ curiosity.

Han Se Jin will play Kim Kook Hee, who doesn’t have any set place to stay and wanders from here to there. He has a crush on classmate Hong Ae Ran, and he is a moodmaker in the neighborhood with his unique, bright, and optimistic personality. Behind the face of Kim Kook Hee, who looks as if he doesn’t have any worry in the world, is an indescribable wound.

Finally, Yang Seo Hyun will play Hong Ae Ran, whom every girl wants to be and who is every boy’s first crush. However, she receives criticism from everyone around her due to her mother’s job working at a karaoke bar. Despite this, she thinks that if her mother is happy, then that’s okay. Through her character, Yang Seo Hyun will portray Hong Ae Ran as a fighter for her mother.

“Hope or Dope” will premiere on March 25 through streaming service seezn.
