'Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food' Starring Son Ye Jin And Jung Hae In To Be Remade Into An Indian Drama

JTBC’s hit drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” (also known as “Something in the Rain”) will be remade into an Indian drama!

JTBC Studio recently confirmed the production of an Indian remake of “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” with Pocket Aces, India’s largest digital entertainment company.

The 2018 drama stars Son Ye Jin as Yoon Jin Ah and Jung Hae In as Seo Joon Hee. Yoon Jin Ah is older than Seo Joon Hee, and on top of that, she’s his sister’s friend. The storyline revolves around the two characters falling in love with each other after having known each other since they were kids.

With this remake, JTBC Studio will take its first step in the Indian market. Interest in Korean content is soaring In India, which has 1.4 billion viewers and the world’s largest Bollywood film market.

In India, remakes that localize Korean content are actively taking place. Remakes of Korean films like “The Man from Nowhere” and “Ode to My Father” enjoyed much success.
