Sung Hoon Shares Support For "Love (ft. Marriage And Divorce)" Cast After Withdrawing From Season 3

On February 26, Star News revealed their exclusive interview with actor Sung Hoon from the 2021 Asia Artist Awards.

In 2021, Sung Hoon starred as Pan Sa Hyun in the hit TV Chosun drama “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce),” who cheats on his wife, Boo Hye Ryung (Lee Ga Ryung), with Song Won (Lee Min Young). Pan Sa Hyun gets his parents, Pan Moon Ho (Kim Eung Soo) and So Ye Jung (Lee Jong Nam), on his side to divorce his wife, who does not want to have children, and give his heart to Song Won instead, who is pregnant with his child.

Asked what “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” had meant to him, Sung Hoon said, “It was a difficult project to analyze and figure out how to organize and express the character, but that’s why I think it was a very helpful project for me.”

Sung Hoon withdrew from participation in season 3 of the drama and Pan Sa Hyun will now be played by Kang Shin Hyo. Sung Hoon said, “Due to circumstances, I wasn’t able to join season 3, but I have absolute faith that the cast and crew will do well. As the COVID-19 pandemic becomes a long haul, everyone is tired and exhausted, but I believe that good days will come if we can hold out a little longer. I hope that everyone stays healthy, is careful of COVID-19 while filming, and will get good results in COVID-19.”

Regarding his appearance on “Home Alone,” he said, “I often have to take breaks from the show due to filming for dramas, but the cast members are friends who give me strength and whom I can depend on to stay by my side when good and bad things happen.”

Asked about his goals for 2022, he said, “They’re the same. Without wishing for anything special, I am waiting for good days to come and for us all to get over these difficult times. My first drama of the year will be ‘Starting Today, Us’ [literal translation] and I’m working hard on filming. I hope that it gets good results.”

“Starting Today, Us” is a remake of the American series “Jane the Virgin” (based on a Venezuelan telenovela), starring Im Soo Hyang, Sung Hoon, Shin Dong Wook, and Hong Ji Yoon.

“Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 3” just premiered on February 26 at 9 p.m. KST.
